Actor, Gary Coleman, Caused Pedestrian Accident with Colt Rushton in Utah |
|
Actor Gary Coleman was involved in what is being described as a pedestrian accident in Utah early Saturday morning. However, it it not clear if this was really an accident, reckless behavior or intentional conduct. The facts of the incident show that initially there was nothing more than a minor altercation involving the actor, best known for his appearances in the hit 80s TV show Diff’rent Strokes, and another man, Colt Rushton, at a bowling alley.

Doctors afraid to discuss patient's injuries with attorneys? |

Recently the Utah Medical Insurance Association (UMIA) published an article cautioning treating physicians against talking with their patient's attorneys about the injured person's care. The insurance association warns doctors about the "slippery slope" and the dangers associated with such conduct. WHAT ARE THE INSURANCE COMAPNIES TALKING ABOUT?
I have helped injured clients for many years. Believe it or not it is common for people that are injured in accidents to receive medical treatment for their injuries. I know it sounds amazing but it is true. These are people that have been injured as a result of someone else's carelessness. They have incurred medical bills, lost time from work, undergone surgeries etc.
In order to recover for the injured client's losses, I MUST talk to the treating doctors. These doctors help us fully understand the injuries and predict future problems. Now, the insurance companies warn these doctors about the "crafty lawyers" and suggest that they never speak to a patient's lawyer without an insurance company lawyer at their side. What a joke. These are the same insurance companies that tell the doctors that plaintiffs' lawyers are responsible for the doctor's rising premiums despite mounds of evidence to the contrary. I hope that Utah's fine doctors don't fall for the scam and they continue to help their patients fully recover, medically and otherwise, from their injuries.

Hospital Loses Part of Man's Skull |
 Talk about weird. Down in Galveston, Texas a man had a piece of his skull removed due to brain swelling after a stroke. He was supposed to have it put back after the swelling went down. But, as you may have guessed from the headline here, the hospital lost that part of his skull. That's not supposed to happen.
